The Witness

The Witness will assist doctors, nurses, and other medical staff in their preparation for a court case on sexual and gender-based violence. This training aid is the product of a collaborative effort between the private sector, government and development partners and was made possible by the generous support of the American people through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Presidents Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief. The contents are the responsibility of FPD and do not necessarily reflect the views of USAID or the United States Government.

Gender Based Violence - The Bayview story

People in this community struggle for shelter, basic services, proper health care and education and where drug trafficking, substance abuse has caused a moral decay amongst many members of the community. Gender based violence is everywhere in this community... Until now, nobody talked about it. But the women, men and children in this community can no longer keep quiet.

This video is the beginning of a campaign by FPD in conjunction with Ubuntu Community Development, to not only assist this community, but to also help them heal.

UBUNTU COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT has been set up to serve as a community development agency that operates in the Bayview community. The men and women in this video are real people with real stories.
